Academic Advisor

Under the broad supervision of the Director of Academic Advising (DAA), the Academic Advisor serve as the advisor to undergraduate students with an emphasis towards entering students, undeclared students, academically at risk students and targeted populations. Further, advisors will support students in the development of their personal, academic and professional goals and help them to navigate the college experience while taking advantage of the breadth of opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates and posts transfer credit for applicants with prior college credit.
Works with students and advisors across campus
Maintains confidentiality
Qualifications:
Knowledgeable of analyzing applications for admissions
Knowledgeable of counseling students regarding transfer credits
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Knowledgeable of Banner SIS, OnBase imaging and other customer relations management systems
FERPA Training completed
